Almost half of all US adults will experience mental illness in their lifetime.
The majority of these individuals will not seek treatment due to stigma, cost or other reasons. Affordable, effective treatments exist, but ignoring these problems costs our communities so much more than caring for them now.
We can and must do better! Brightwater Health is part of our local community focusing on programs to bring change to stigma. Helping us helps your neighbors and community needing treatment and care.

Where Do Donations Go?
When you donate to Brightwater Health, Donations go to programs and specific community needs such as:
- Individuals seeking care will receive rapid, unobstructed access to care – regardless of personal circumstances of ability to pay.
- Brightwater can continue to provide free and confidential online mental health screenings.
- We can continue to provide open social hours, activities and free lunches at our Cloquet Outreach Center for adults.
- We can continue to provide an after-school drop-in center for youth in Superior, Wisconsin through Project Out Reach.
- We can also hand out clothing, socks, hygiene items and food shelf items to youth through our Free Store.
- Team members can provide bus passes for individuals needing help with transportation to appointments.

Physical Donations
Give an item
Brightwater Health collects physical donated items for our Outreach Centers and partners. We collect gently used and new items for our YOUTH FREE Store with our Project Outreach Program, along with items for our Cloquet, MN Outreach Center and Waterfront Center located in Two Harbors, MN. Items are also collected for our Outreach Center game night giveaways like bingo prizes.
Items always in need include: Hygiene items, socks, clothing, craft items and non-perishable food items.
